ANIME CEL STORE IN LONDON!

ANIME CEL STORE IN LONDON!

Hello there, fellow anime fans and cel collectors! We have great news for everyone!

We are officially opening our store in Kensington, London! We are very proud to say that this makes us the only cel dealers in the UK with a physical location you can visit; our exact address is 66E Kensington Church Street, Kensington, London, United Kingdom W8 4BY, and we are open Mondays to Saturdays from 10.00 AM to 18.00 PM. If you are based in London or have plans on going to London at any time, do drop in and say hi! Among the things waiting for you are:

1) Anime cels, of course! Our collection includes works of art such as Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, Sailor Moon, Hajime no Ippo, Gundam, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ranma 1/2, Slam Dunk, and of course Studio Ghibli! We even have cels from various lesser-known but equally-awesome series like Sazae-san, GeGeGe no Kitarou, Daa! Daa! Daa! (aka UFO Baby), Boogiepop Phantom, and Lupin III. Additionally, we also have various framed cels available (check out the picture below!), which can only be bought in-store. The cels currently available on our website account for only 10% of our entire stock, so if you don't want to miss out on anything, come and check out our store!

2) Anime posters from the original Japanese releases! Studio Ghibli, Gundam, Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sailor Moon, Naruto, One Piece, you name it. Wait, what? You're into older series like Space Battleship Yamato, Golgo 13, Star of the Giants, or Gatchaman? We got you covered too! ...still not good enough? You say you want posters for Osamu Tezuka classics, including Black Jack, Princess Knight, and Kimba the White Lion? Fine, come visit us and we'll be sure to impress you! All of our posters are only available for purchase in-store, so if you're looking to decorate your wall and impress your friends with some rare first-class anime posters, there are few better options than paying us a visit.

3) Anime pamphlets/promotional booklets, which accompanied their respective Japanese showings! From Saint Seiya and Lupin III, to shonen legends Hokuto no Ken, One Piece, and Bleach, to Attack on Titan and, of course, Studio Ghibli. LOTS of Studio Ghibli. Like the anime posters, the pamphlets/booklets are all in-store purchases only, but unlike the posters they are much more affordable, making them the perfect companions for when you re-watch all your favourite anime (which, let's be honest, you will).

4) For (the great many) Naruto fans, we also have a number of authentic sketches from Naruto, some of which you can see on our website. As with the cels, we have many more that aren't online, so be sure to come and admire them in person!

If you are unaware of what cels are, here's a quick primer: cels (short for celluloid sheets) are hand-painted animation frames that were used by animators in the production process of their respective shows. For example, the Dragon Ball cels we have were all used in animating the Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z anime that we all know and love, and the same goes with each and every one of our cels. If you want to know more, check out our in-depth explanation here! And we all know how many talented artists out there that could reasonably replicate anime cels (just check out Pixiv for proof!), so we stake our reputation on guaranteeing the authenticity of all of our cels and sketches.

So to close off, we now have a store with various authentic Japanese anime goodies at 66E Kensington Church Street, London, which you can freely visit any time between 10 to 6, Mondays to Saturdays. If you are in London and are a fan of anime, traditional animation, anime cels, or all three, then there is absolutely no store more suitable for you to check out than Japanese Gallery Kensington. Come in, enjoy pieces of animation history, and just have a general good time chatting with any of our members of staff about all your favourite anime. We'll be waiting for you in store!

Signing off with a sparkle in our eyes,
JGK Team
