Japanese GallerySeptember 15, 2021Exhibition 355 Views
This summer Japanese Gallery Kensington had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a hedge fund investment company based in London and use their corporate exhibition space for a special display of original woodblock prints.
The exhibition showcased prints from the 18th century such as those produced by the Katsukawa school to contemporary Japanese art, bringing together more than two centuries of artistic creation. Our team aimed to present a brief history of Japanese woodblock prints through different artists, styles and themes.
During a private event hosted by the collaborators, our team also prepared a display of printmaking tools and a short talk on the history of woodblock print production.
