Dolls Sunada

Boy’s Day is an annual tradition in Japan celebrated on 5th May. Nowadays, it is more commonly known as Children’s Day. The holiday is usually honoured by displaying miniature armours symbolising health and happiness. Moreover, each armour can also have its own symbolic meaning, such as strength, dignity or eternity. Each armour is handmade by a craftsman and artisans using traditional arms and armour techniques to create a beautiful and elaborate yoroi.
