Koichi Okada
Koichi Okada was a Japanese landscape painter who worked with the publisher Unsodo on a series of woodblock prints of Japan during the late 1940s. Although he created 12 for this series, only five different designs are known. His paintings were exhibited at Teiten and Nitten and he was a member of the art group Issuikai. Common within Japanese Shin-Hanga artists, it is thought his woodblock prints were made from original oil paintings done by the artist. Outside of Japan, Okada is primarily known for his strikingly detailed ukiyo-e woodblock prints of Mt. Fuji.
