Banshū (Harima) province was a southwestern part of present-day Hyōgo Prefecture in Honshū.
Enormous pine trees tower over the Maiko seashore (Maiko no hama). People freely wander around their roots protruding from the ground, occupying themselves with daily errands. Bokashi (gradation) applied in the background suggests the sun has already set, marking the end of another working day.
