Yoshitsuya Utagawa


A student of Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Yoshitsuya is best known for his depictions of warriors, and has produced many designs for both advertisement s and tattoos. He is considered one of Kuniyoshi's most important students, who's style can be seen in his warrior prints. Yoshitsuya also clevery depicted scenes of grandiose lengendary creatures to caricature of political events and avoid censorship.
